There won't be any new posts for a few days, but at least I'm announcing it in advance!

Looks like any potential rants for this week will have to be put on hold since I am *gulp* getting ready to go to New York for a long weekend (Friday through Tuesday). Jake Watch readers may have an idea of what motivated my trip at this particular time, although if you read this blog, you might be interested to know that I've snagged two tickets to the taping of "The Daily Show" next Monday (oh, YES!). If you're able to watch (and know what I look like), look out for a half-second glimpse of the back of my head during the opening audience shot! And if not, I'll try to find it on YouTube when I get back. I'm writing this trip off as a business expense as I see my stint as an audience member as crucial to future O.P. entries. I'm sure I'll tell all about it, in excruciating detail. I've also got some other, erm, "official" business to take care of for that other blog, so I don't think this can be called anything less than a working vacation (not wholly unlike my last "working vacation").

I can't lie. I'm quite excited about this trip. And so are the Olsen twins.
